KILOLAMBWANI SECONDARY SCHOOL VISITED BY HON. DEO NDEJEMBI

The Deputy Minister of Education Deo Ndejembi has instructed the heads of all councils in the country to ensure that all pupils who are eligible for first grade enrolment are enrolled on time.

NO PUPIL QUALIFIED FOR FIRST CLASS SHOULD BE EXCLUDED

Hon. Ndejembi gave the order today when he visited and inspected the progress made in registering pupils at Kilolambwani Secondary School, located in Lindi Municipal Council, Lindi District.

“The deadline for the registration of students for the first year and for the enrolment of the first class is the 31st of March. My instruction to the directors of all the councils in the country is to ensure that every qualified student gets a chance to study”.

“I also want the lower level executives from the village/street, ward and divisional executives to be at the forefront to ensure that they work with primary school principals whose pupils have succeeded to identify whose parents are preventing their children from studying,” said Hon. Ndejembi.

He has called on parents in the country not to deny their children the basic right to an education. He has also asked government officials to identify parents who allow their children to do domestic work and drop out of school.

“The government under the leadership of President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan has been a huge investor in the education sector. This school in Kilolambwani has cost Shs 570 million, so parents should stop their children from staying at home and let them go and get educated, which is free and compulsory,” said Hon Ndejembi.

Honourable Salma Kikwete, Member of Parliament for Mchinga, expressed her gratitude to the government for the great development works done in the state, including the construction of the secondary school, which is a relief for students who used to walk long distances.
