THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE NATION BUILDING FORCE (JKT)

I congratulate all Tanzanians today as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Nation Building Force (JKT), a noble and important event for our Nation.

60 years ago our country established this Army as a tool to support the education of young people, to promote discipline, unity, patriotism, fraternity, tenacity and love of work, in order to support the defense of the Nation and economic development.

Nation Building Force (JKT)The dream of the Father of the Nation, the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, which we continue to work to fulfil, is for this Army to be the main door for anyone to enter the public service in any capacity. Public service with discipline, patriotism and integrity in fulfilling its duties.

It gives me great comfort to see the willingness of young people to join JKT. You are a big pillar for the Nation, we rely on you and we will build you up. The government’s goal is to improve and increase JKT’s ability to carry out its important responsibilities in the education of young people with high efficiency, for the benefit of our nation.
